East Robertson Marching Band

The East Robertson Maroon Regiment marching band has been working hard since July, and that hard work has been paying off this season! In addition to supporting the football team on Friday nights, the Maroon Regiment has been to five marching band competitions so far this season, bringing home a plethora of awards. At the Highland Rim Marching Invitational, the band swept their class, bringing home first place trophies for band, percussion, and color guard. The next week, at the Trousdale County Marching Yellow Jacket Invitational, the band was awarded first place in both band and percussion, and second place guard. Then most recently, on October 6, at Bandapalooza, hosted by Portland High School, the band brought home not only first place in band and percussion, but also won the "Music Movers" award for best pit crew. So not only have the students been working hard, but the parents have been too! East Robertson is consistently the smallest band to compete at each contest, which makes these awards that much more meaningful!  Mr. Barrow would like to thank all those parents and administration for their support this season, and most importantly the students for their hard work. Mr. Barrow is especially proud of the students for their dedication to the process and desire to grow and consistently raise the bar in each rehearsal. The Maroon Regiment heads off to the Division I State Marching Band Championship on November 3 at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro.
