“Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.”
― Vesta M. Kelly

The cold, winter season is upon us. It is so easy during this season to get bogged down with the cold days and even colder dark nights.  However, one of the most beautiful parts of this season is the beautiful snow that falls.  Snow in the winter reminds me of a clean slate.  As we start the winter season, my wish is that we remember the positives from the first semester, but start with a clean slate when needed.

Snowflakes are a beautiful thing.  Each one is different.  Snowflakes are fragile.  They can fall apart easily in the wrong conditions.  However, snow when combined can create a beautiful, yet powerful force.  A school community works in the same way.  We are all unique; none of us are exactly the same.  We are also more fragile under certain conditions.  However, when we all combine together as a school community we can create a beautiful and powerful force.

Let's not let the cold winter season force us to hibernate inside.  Instead, let's combine to create a beautiful, powerful force of growth and success.

Respectfully yours,
Mary cook
